2022 WATER SUPPLY UPDATE
As we continue to work through extreme drought conditions, our water supply for the 2022 irrigation season is looking extremely poor. Our primary and supplemental reservoir levels are lower than they were last year at this time. I have attached the teacup diagrams provided by the Bureau of Reclamation from this date last year and the current year. Also, note the two slides from the US drought monitor website comparing this year and last year at this time. While it is too early to determine how we will operate the system this year, we want to give our Patrons as much information as possible. Please keep these historic drought conditions in mind as you plan your irrigation/crop needs this year. Any storms we get during March and April will give us a better idea of the water supply we will have to work with this season. We will be keeping the website updated moving forward into the irrigation season with any updates we have. Feel free to call the office @ 541-899-9913 with any questions you may have.
The link below will direct you to the Talent Irrigation District website update where they have provided some useful information regarding our southern reservoir supply. We have water rights to a supplemental supply in the reservoirs operated and maintained by TID that is integral to a successful irrigation season.
